Whole Foods Market announced that it is investigating a hack which appears to have taken place in some of their in-store tap rooms and restaurants related to unauthorized use of payment cards. Whole Foods said that these venues use a different point of sale (POS) system than the company’s primary checkout system. Additionally, transactions made on the retailer’s website have not been affected.
The company said that it has contacted law enforcement and is getting help from “a leading cyber security forensics firm” to address the issue.
